Abstract

Tasri’ in poetry is like assonance in prose. One of its main characteristics is that the reader knows beforehand the rhyme as soon as he reads the first part (sadr) of the line. Tasri’ reveals the aesthetic harmony in a line of verse because the rhyme of the sadr is the same of that of the ‘ajz (the second part) of the line. When we read the line it produces musical tone that gives the poem, or the line, strong beauty that strengthens the tone when the rhyme is repeated. This fascinates the audience by its beauty which remains in their memory
