Abstract

Ag3PO4 hollow microspheres (Ag3PO4-HMs) have been fabricated through a simple direct precipitation method in the presence of tartaric acid. The possible formation mechanisms of oriented aggregation and Ostwald ripening were proposed according to the time-dependent experimental results. Due to the high surface areas, the product of unique morphology exhibits high efficient photocatalytic activity for the photodegradation of Rhodamine B (RhB) under visible light irradiation.
