Abstract

Tarentola mauritanica pallida was recorded for the first time far inland in the Djebel Ouarkziz and Oued Drâa area, in south-western Morocco. The taxonomic characters proposed to identify this subspecies, T. m. juliae , and T. boehmei are discussed in view of the specimens observed during this survey. Other observations of gekkonid lizards in this area are also reported.
