Abstract
The authors apply guided imagery to the practice of couple therapy in a manner consistent with the field's emphasis on nonhierarchical, collaborative models, client strengths, and empowerment. They present guided imagery exercises and illustrate their use with a clinical example. These imagery exercises encourage couples to tap internal resources in order to better understand and improve their relationships.
