Tanbûrî Alî Efendi ve Tanbûrî Cemil Bey’in Bestelerinin Usta-Çırak İlişkisi Bağlamında Tahlîli

Abstract

" ANALYZING THE COMPOSITIONS OF TANBÜRİ ALİ EFENDİ AND TANBURÎ CEMİL BEY IN THE CONTEXT OF THE MASTER APPRENTICE, RELATIONSHIP" Cemil Bey, one of the most important performers of the tanbur instrument, is a composer and versatile musician who draws attention with his productions in different genres as well as his virtuosity. He met Tanburi Ali Bey, who was a Tanburi like himself and one of the favorite music teachers of the palace life of his time, and benefited from him for many years. In the study, Tanbûri Ali Efendi's compositions in Evç and Sûzinâk makams, taking into account the master-apprentice relationship between Tanbûrî Ali Efendi and Tanbûrî Cemil Bey; Comparative maqam analyzes were made on the identity information of Sûzinâk Ağır Aksak Song and Evç Aksak Semaî and Tanbûri Cemil Bey's Sûzinâk Aksak Song and Evç Aksak Semaî Songs, melody sentence similarities, pitch usage frequencies were determined, and the effect of Tanbûrî Ali Bey on Cemil Bey's works was made. It is aimed to be revealed with scientific evaluations. It is a descriptive research based on the scanning model in terms of its purpose and method. By scanning various sources related to the subject, the works selected from the modes used by both composers constitute the sample of the study. In the context of master-apprentice relationship, it is thought that the study will be a source for research on comparative modal analysis and is original.
