Abstract

The design and evaluation of a multidisciplinary workshop, focused on promoting the acquisition of linguistic communication and research skills in undergraduate engineering students of the Autonomous University of Yucatan in Mexico to strengthen their comprehensive training. The workshop is aimed to help students to express themselves in a better way in multidisciplinary cooperative learning teams. The implementation of the workshop involved the academic coordination between teachers who were involved according to the subjects they teach, conducting comprehensive assessments that each teacher evaluated the level of competence achieved. Participating students were evaluated before and after the workshop. From the results, it was concluded that the workshop proved to be very effective in raising the level of skills of linguistic communication and research of participating students.
