Abstract

As government documents, including periodicals, distributed through the Federal Depository Library Program migrate from print to electronic, librarians are faced with the need to adopt new policies and procedures to accommodate this material and keep track of the changes that are occurring. All libraries have access to this vast array of free resources that formerly were found primarily in depository libraries. The workshop leaders outlined the issues and introduced numerous tools that can be used by depository and non-depository librarians to identify Web-based Federal Government periodicals and to keep up with the inevitable changes in formats, titles and URLs.
