Take the current situation of patent in Peking University Third Hospital as a case to study

Abstract

This article analyzed the situation of patent applications, licensing and technology transfer in Peking University Third Hospital since 2008. We summarized the challenge and the stren-gth in patent administration process, and discussed strategies and measures to promote intellectual property management in hospitals. In the end five specific advices were proposed, such as the role of intellectual property in constructing innovative hospitals, improving intellectual property management, building trading platform and accessing patent transfer, increasing the proportion of patent of invention vs. patent for utility models, and relying on experts themselves.
