Abstract

Research Article| March 01 2002 Take a Left at the Waters of Samsara Marilyn Chin Marilyn Chin marilyn chin's books of poems include Rhapsody in Plain Yellow and The Phoenix Gone. Her translations include The Selected Poems of Ai Qing. She has been anthologized most recently in The Norton Introduction to Poetry, and The Best American Poetry of 1996. Her awards include two grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the pen-Josephine Miles Award, and the Stegner Fellowship at Stanford. She was featured in the pbs series The Language of Life. She teaches in the M.F.A. program at San Diego State University and gives poetry readings and lectures all over the world.
