Abstract
Clicking 3D materials: Hybrid, organic–inorganic polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane precursors are woven into macroscopically shaped entities by thiol-ene chemistry in a radical-mediated, step-growth fashion, by photo or thermal initiation (see figure). The materials are nanostructured and their macroporous features and physical properties are easily tailored.
