Abstract

In these 13 verses, it has been clearly stated that the Day of Accountability is the last day which is the Day of Judgment. Warning has been given that on that day, neither any compensation nor any recommendation nor any ransom nor any help will be useful. Thereafter, different favours of God upon Bani Isra'il have been enumerated and the great trials in which they had fallen and the mercy of God came to their rescue. It has also been shown that repentance was the alchemy and was accepted when there was sincerity behind it. It has also been shown that good deeds have their reward in both the worlds and that the punishment is always the result of man's own arrogance, pride, transgression, and disobedience to the words of God and the Messenger of Allah. Had the Bani Isra'il strictly followed the guidance that had come to them through their prophets, Hadrat Musa (peace be upon him) and Hadrat Isa (peace be upon him), mercy, kindness, blessings and many visible and invisible favours from the Creator were for them. For Muslims there is a warning that now they have to take care to remain obedient to God and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to get the favours of Allah. If they disobeyed God or the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in any of their word or conduct, they will have to face the consequence. The door of repentance is of course open for all servants of Allah everywhere til the last breath.
