Abstract
Surah al-Fatihah is the first Surah of the Holy Qur'an. It is the Opening chapter and contains the gist of the whole Divine message. The seven oft repeated verses are recited in every Rak`at of prayer and on all important occasions in a Muslim's life. The more a person reflects into its meaning the more he feels himself close to his Creator and his vision is broadened, the way of life becomes well known, the ups and down become well identified and the whole world seems a fraternity. Self accountability is created and dignity of mankind is maintained in heart and mind. To develop an attitude to be with God the understanding of this chapter is must.
