Abstract

Actualistic taphonomy allows to know the environmental conditions that influence the preservation of biological remains, contributing to the reconstruction of the depositional setting of fossil assemblages. Here we explore the use of the alien gastropod Rapana venosa (Valenciennes, 1846) as a taphonomic model in the Río de la Plata.
