People seeking hospital‐level care for their mental health find it challenging to access a state hospital bed until they have been charged or convicted of a crime, suggests one of the key findings in a new report released by the Treatment Advocacy Center (TAC) and based on the personal stories of family members and an individual with lived experience in the state hospital system.
