Abstract
to describe how the procedure of high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) as a treatment for localised prostate cancer may affect sexual functioning in comparison to alternative treatments. after a brief description of the treatment process, comparison will be made with other treatment options in terms of erectile dysfunction, ejaculatory disorders and sexual ability. preliminary data will be presented issues will be discussed as to treatment efficacy in terms of sexual functioning
