Abstract

AbstractAntigen‐specific high zone unresponsiveness to two thymus‐dependent antigens, TNP560KLH (2,4,6trinitrophenylkeyhole) limpet hemocyanin and TNP6FGG (2,4,6trinitrophenylfowl IgG), was induced in vitro. It was found that carrier recognition was required for its production, and that unresponsiveness was present at the level of B cells.Thymus‐derived cells were required to induce the unresponsive state in B cells.
