Abstract
AbstractTransition‐metal‐free, temperature‐controlled chemoselectivities of alkenylazaarenes and alkylazaarenes through t‐BuOK/18‐crown‐6 promoted functionalization reaction of methyl‐substituted N‐heteroarenes with primary alcohols has been established. Following the methodology, a variety of olefinated and alkylated N‐heteroarenes have been efficiently obtained. To understand the mechanism of the reactions, various control and kinetic experiments were carried out.
