Pulmonary artery pressure measurements are integral to management of pulmonary hypertension. Echocardiographic methods typically make use of blood velocity of tricuspid regurgitation or if tricuspid regurgitation is absent, from other parameters such as acceleration time of blood in the right ventricular outflow tract (RVOT).
