Abstract

In unitarizing dual models, one is faced with the problem of handling many overlapping resonances in the same partial wave. We derive a unitarized amplitude for an arbitrary number of resonances and two-body channels in terms of the isolated partial widths and masses the resonances would have in the absence of overlap. We also discuss the use of our formalism to extract the isolated masses and widths [directly related to SU(3)] from the experimental quantities in the presence of overlap.
