Abstract
AbstractGiven the scope of some of the large scale system architecture models created at The Boeing Company, it is currently necessary for Boeing to customize its own Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tool suites from Commercial‐Off‐The‐Shelf (COTS) platforms to accommodate these models. Boeing successfully applies a modified set of Systems Engineering (SE) architectures to specify the required MBSE tool suites and also has developed a unique SE skill set for engineers creating these specifications and developing and deploying the subsequent tool suites. Furthermore, Boeing uses an MBSE tool suite to create these tool suite specifications as models, and also manages the configuration of the MBSE tool suite within the models.
