Abstract

1. The ternary system Ba (OH)2-H2O2-H2O has been studied by the solubility method at −10, 0, 20, and 50°. 2. Investigation of the reaction of aqueous solutions of barium hydroxide with hydrogen peroxide over a wide range of H2O2 concentrations has permitted the establishment of the presence and the determination of the actual composition of the equilibrium solid peroxide phases of the system: BaO2· 8H2O, BaO2· H2O2, and BaO2· 2H2O2. 3. A polytherm diagram of the limits of the fields of crystallization of the solid phases, which was constructed from the isotherm data, permitted determining the temperature and concentration limits for the existence of the indicated phases.
