Systemischer Befall durch das Gurkenmosaik-Virus an der Gartenbohne ( Phaseolus vulgaris L.) in der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik

Abstract

In the years 1972 till 1974 the appearance of a form of cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) was observed both in fields and in collections of French beans, which was present frequently in mixed infections with bean common mosaic (BMV) and occasionally with bean yellow mosaic viruses. It causes often similar symptoms as BMV and approximately the same reactions in several test plants as the strain group of CMV not seldom found in South-East Europe. Already now the CMV form which is pathogenic for French beans seems to be rather spread in Europe. To this may have contributed its seed transmissibility in French beans which was found in accordance with Bos and Maat (1974). All ested 100 French bean varieties proved to be systemically susceptible for the described form of CMV. In den Jahren 1972 bis 1974 wurde an verschiedenen Orten der DDR sowohl auf Produktions-flächen als auch in Sortimenten der Gartenbohne das Auftreten einer Variante des Gurkenmosaik Virus (GMV) beobachtet, die häufig in Mischinfektion mit dem Gewöhnlichen Bohnenmosaik (BMV), gelegentlich auch mit dem Bohnengelbmosaik-Virus vorlag. Sie verursacht an der Gartenbohne oftmals ähnliche Symptome wie das BMV und an mehreren Testpflanzen weitgehend gleiche Reaktionen wie die in Südosteuropa häufige Stammgruppe des GMV. Die für die Gartenbohne pathogene GMV-Variante dürfte bereits jetzt in Europa bemerkenswert verbreitet sein, wozu ihre in Übereinstimmung mit Bos und Maat (1974) ermittelte Samenübertragbarke it in der Gartenbohne beitragen kann. Sämtliche 100 geprüften Bohnensorten erwiesen sich gegenüber der beschriebenen GMV-Variante systemisch anfällig.
