Abstract
In recent years, there have been many scientific works in the country and abroad studying the model and the state management system of ethnic affairs; Content and mode of ethnic work. The works have provided scientific data as a basis for further research, development and improvement of the state management model of ethnic work in Vietnam. However, the researches also revealed certain limitations. These are the limitations and inadequacies in model research, state management system of ethnic affairs in new conditions; implementation of ethnic affairs in the locality; renovation of contents and mode in industrialization and modernization and actively integrating into the world. Therefore, in order to have sufficient scientific basis to propose the renovation of the model of state management on ethnic affairs, to renovate the content and mode of ethnic work, it is necessary to have scientific works to continue researching in the coming time.
