Abstract
ABSTRACTFlux balance method and state equation method are representative methods to synthesize DC–DC converters according to given conditions. Both of them include a step to synthesize DC–DC converters from equivalent circuits of different intervals, which is difficult to process by manual synthesis. Considering the equivalent circuits can be transformed into loop matrices, a systematic synthesis method of DC–DC converters based on loop matrices is proposed in this paper. The proposed method transforms volt‐second balance equations or state equations into loop matrix in each switching interval, and then outputs all the corresponding DC‐DC converters. As an example, 11 DC–DC converters with the voltage gain of D2 is synthesized by the proposed method, six of which are firstly proposed. To compare their performances and select the best one, an evaluation index system is constructed, simulations of the converters are carried out to obtain the values of the indices, and analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and entropy method are used to evaluate the converters. Prototypes of the best two converters are built, and the experimental results verify the effectiveness of the proposed synthesis and evaluation method.
