Abstract
To examine the data on the use of comprehensive multidisciplinary rehabilitation to improve functions, minimize disability, or improve quality of life, researchers conducted a systematic review. In addition, supervised physical therapy or physical training programs were evaluated to determine their benefit and to identify the most effective techniques. Energy-conservation techniques, specialty devices, and educational programs were also assessed. The authors' main conclusions were as follows:
