Abstract
This letter deals with linear array design for satisfactory performance of system reliability in interferometric aperture synthesis radiometer (IASR), which is important to the instrument robustness against failures. We address the reliability performance in the case of one-element wreckage, as well as two other systematic metrics of IASR, i.e., spatial resolution and radiometric sensitivity. First, an array design model concerning the above three metrics is established within the framework of multiobjective optimization. Then, a state-of-the-art multiobjective method based on nondominated neighbor immune algorithm is applied. Finally, simulation results are presented to verify the effectiveness of designed array configurations.
