Abstract

The manufacturers of hybrid and pure electric vehicles are faced with a particular challenge when it comes to cables for the high current and high voltage components. They have to set new standards in terms of flexibility, shielding, safety and size. Yet development of new solutions will stall as long as com- mercial profitability and technical specifications are unclear. System-optimised connection technology could provide a way out. This calls for early cooperation among all those involved, Leoni suggests.
