Abstract

In general, the main technique to eliminate noise from the signal of partial discharge can be realized in the time and frequency domain. The analysis of the partial discharge signal in frequency and time domain is the basic methodology in signal processing. When the signal is processed in the frequency domain, the time domain information would be lost. To resolve these weaknesses, the wavelet transform is developed to provide information in time and frequency domain. Wavelet transform (WT) has become a great new tool for processing signals in the last few years and wavelet transform has been applied to various fields successfully. In this study, the noise in PD signal is eliminated using wavelet transform. The system used threshold parameter of wavelet. The output of this system is that the noise can be muted from the signal of partial discharge.
