Abstract

One of regular tasks of modern fighter designers is the integration of on-board systems and subsystems aiming to improve their performances as well as to reduce the number of electro-electronic boxes by reducing their dimensions and weights. The integration was necessary due to a large number of mutually dependent electromechanical systems and a large number of electric (relay) boxes for their management. This paper gives a brief description of a system for integrated management of electromechanical aircraft systems (named Utility Systems Management), developed for the European Fighter Aircraft (EFA).
