Abstract

The electromagnetic inductive launcher utilizes the theory of magnetic coupling between the driving coil and the armature. Usually, the armature is accelerated by many driving coils continuously for hypervelocity. The instruments for control and measurement of the multistage launcher are operated manually, which may be unsafe and inconvenient for the operators at the high voltage environment. The technology of virtual instrument provides an easy way to control the multistage launcher by program. This paper introduces the principle of electromagnetic inductive launcher, and then designs the charge circuit, trigger system based on the measurement of armature velocity and voltage measurement. At last, it takes the three stages launcher for example to introduce the design of program for control and measurement based on the virtual instrument. The performance of the system has been verified by experiment.
