Abstract

AbstractThis technical paper provides an overview of Rome Laboratory's Research & Development Program in the area of System Engineering. In particular, it describes the objectives of an exploratory development effort entitled “System Engineering Concept Demonstration” (SECD), the activities that were pursued under the effort, and its results. It serves as an introduction to other papers [Comer 1992], [Ortiz 1992], and [Pariseau & Stuebing 1992], which provide further detail on the technology and demonstrations that resulted. Rome Laboratory's future plans to develop Systems Engineering technology are also identified.
