Abstract

<p indent="0mm">According to the mission profile of the space station extravehicular activity (EVA), the functional requirements of the space station EVA spacesuit are analyzed regarding life support and human-suit ability support, and a functional baseline is proposed. The development principle of the space station Feitian EVA spacesuit is described in detail, and the design scheme and verification method of the system and main functional units are given. Compared with the first-generation EVA spacesuit, the innovations and technological breakthroughs of the space station Feitian EVA spacesuit in human-suit ability, service life, safety and reliability, and maintainability are summarized. Moreover, the improvement directions of the EVA spacesuit regarding ergonomic performance, working efficiency, service life, electronic information technology, and a lightweight property are proposed, which can be applied to the subsequent improvement design of the EVA spacesuit and can provide a reference for the system design of lunar spacesuits and future planetary exploration spacesuits.
