Abstract

The article considers the peculiarities of clustering of monitoring ecological information using a generalized model of ART family network. It formulates the approach to obtaining a comprehensive assessment of a region’s ecological situation (by the example of Voronezh oblast) using Fuzzy ART network. The suggested method helps to identify the structural links between the monitoring indicators of the ecological system being investigated, which allows creating a basis for a logical and consistent approach to the decision-making problem. The clustering results and the analysis of the obtained cluster prototypes make it possible to select a grounded mathematical model of a comprehensive assessment of the region’s ecological situation. Moreover, the constructed ecological situation analysis model and the developed software allow experts to keep track of trends in the region’s ecological situation.
