Abstract

A 60-year-old man presented to the eye emergency room with one month of blurry vision, hearing loss, and polyarthralgia. Eye examination revealed panuveitis of both eyes. There was optic disc edema with a retinal flame hemorrhage in the right eye (Fig. 1A). Scalp exam revealed alopecia and papulosquamous eruption with crusted and eroded papules (Fig. 1B). Serum rapid plasma reagin titer (RPR) was 1:1,024 and cerebrospinal fluid was positive for the venereal disease research laboratory (VDRL) test.
