Abstract

Syphilis is an infectious disease caused by Treponema pallidum, sexually transmitted and very contagious. Treponema is sensitive to antibiotherapy like penicillin, therefore after World War II, there were fewer syphilis cases. From the early 80’s, due to VIH, syphilis incidence increases. Laryngeal syphilis is still rare and very polymorphic, it mainly represents a differential diagnosis of laryngeal granuloma.
