Abstract
Abstract A cyclic sulfide moiety corresponding to ring C in peptide antibiotic nisin was successfully synthesized from a disulfide compound prepared from a heptapeptide involving l-cysteine and threo-3-methyl-d-cysteine through desulfurization reaction with hexaethylphosphorus triamide.
