Abstract

Abstract Titanium(IV) antimonate (TiSbA) showed an extremely high selectivity for lithium ions in ammonium nitrate media, the increased selectivity order for microamounts being Rb+<Na+<Cs+<K+<<Li+. The selective separation of lithium ions from other alkali metal ions can be achieved on small columns of TiSbA by a mixed solution of nitric acid and ammonium nitrate.
