Abstract

ABSTRACTWe describe synthetic strategies for designing cobalt Fischer-Tropsch catalysts in order to maximize synthesis rates and C5+ selectivity. The support cobalt-precursor interaction must be balanced to maximize dispersion yet allow facile low temperature reduction. The cobalt time yield is independent of support and varies directly as the cobalt dispersion for dispersions in the 0.02 to 0.12 range [1].
