Abstract

AbstractNew synthetic approaches to 3‐substituted‐5′‐(N‐pyridiniummethyl)‐4′,5′‐dihydropsoralens are described. The novel pathways presented utilize appropriately substituted coumarins and 4′,5′‐dihydropsoralens. The compounds proposed represent potential therapeutic agents for psoralen uv radiation treatment.
