Abstract

This paper presents an approach to the solution of the problem of synthesizing chromatic interference filters, based on the approximation of a given spectral dependence of the transmittance by a trigonometric polynomial. The question of choosing the order of the polynomial is discussed. A design for interference coatings is presented that has spectral responses close to ZhZS6 and OS12 colored glasses. © 2004 Optical Society of America
