Abstract
The problem of controlling the position and shape of the plasma in a tokamak is considered. Although a great many works have been devoted to this problem, most of them use relatively simple models of a power system that acts as an actuator. Full power system models are rarely used, even during simulations. A mathematical model of a thyristor converter, one of the main elements of a power system, is proposed here in the form of a switching system. An algorithm based on a predictive control model is described. A numerical simulation of the model system’s operation is performed.
