Abstract

Two silver complexes, [Ag3(dppm)3(μ3-Br)2][DCTC](DMF) 1 and [(PPh3)3Ag(μ-CN)Ag(PPh3)3]·NO3 2 (DCTC = α,α-dicyano-p-toluolylcyanate), have been prepared and characterized by IR and UV-vis spectra. Their structures are determined by X-ray crystallography. Complex 1 consists of a trinuclear [Ag3(dppm)3(μ3-Br)2]+ unit, and one DCTC– anion. Complex 2 is built from two Ag centers, which are bridged by one cyanide group. At room temperature, complexes 1 and 2 appear photoluminescence at 467 and 669 nm, respectively.
