Abstract

Abstract Three regioisomeric sulfone-bridged phenyl-pyrene derivatives have been synthesized by post-oxidizing the corresponding sulfide-bridged phenyl-pyrene isomers. The photophysical properties and two crystal structures of these sulfones were investigated and compared with those of their parent compounds. These sulfones display all remarkable solid-state photoluminescence efficiencies as well as good fluorescence quantum yield in solutions.
