Abstract

Methods are suggested for obtaining new sorbents for ionic chromatography (polyelectrolyte anion-exchangers) based on the modification of silica gels for HPLC by cationic polymer solutions. Advantages and faults of each method are pointed out. Factors that affect chromatographic characteristics and operating stability of polyelectrolyte sorbents are studied. Operating conditions are chosen for chromatographic columns based on polyelectrolyte sorbents that allow one to preserve the initial characteristics for more than 1.5 months.
