Abstract
Reactions of triorganogermanyl(IV) chlorides and diorganogermanyl(IV) dichlorides with sodium salts of pyridine-2-carbaldehyde oxime and 2-acetylpyridine oxime, respectively, in 1:1 and 1:2 molar ratio produced organogermanyl(IV) oximates. All the derivatives have been characterized by spectroscopic techniques and tetrahedral structures have been proposed on the basis of spectroscopic data and molecular orbital calculations.
