Abstract

The effect of synthesis temperature on the structural perfection of the Zn0.5Mn0.5Fe2O4 ferrite synthesized via spray pyrolysis of a solution of Zn(II), Mn(II), and Fe(III) nitrates has been studied using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and IR spectroscopy. The material obtained at 650°C is shown to have a nanocrystalline structure. IR spectroscopy results indicate that the synthesized Zn0.5Mn0.5Fe2O4 spinel ferrite is highly homogeneous in composition and structure.
