Abstract

KZSM-48 was prepared from the nonaqueous system for the first time. The SiO 2 Al 2O 3 of the KZSM-48 product was more than 54. The kinetics of crystallization was studied. The time of nucleation decreases with the increase of SiO 2 Al 2O 3 . The experiment shows that the K 2O content exerts a significant influence on the synthesis of zeolite KZSM-48. Higher or lower molar ratios of hexanediamine to triethylamine are not suitable for synthesizing pure KZSM-48. Zeolite KZSM-48 was examined with SEM and t.g.-d.t.a. In the early stage of crystallization, the increase of crystallinity resulted from the increase of the number of crystalline grains, but at the later stage of crystallization, the increase of crystallinity resulted from the growth of crystalline grains. The organic amine content in the produce increases with the increase of crystallinity.
