Abstract
Uridine diphosphate (UDP)-glucose with 1,2-trans glycoside was synthesized using 2-chloro-1,3-dimethylimidazolium chloride (DMC) in a one-step reaction. The reaction achieved a high yield by the increase in glucose equivalents and UDP concentration as well as decreased the reaction temperature. The UDP-glucose in a 71% yield was purified by reverse-phase chromatography.
