Abstract

Abstract Two vic-dioxime ligands were synthesised by reacting anti-dichloroglyoxime with 4-aminoazobenzene and 2′, 3-dimethyl-4-aminoazobenzene, respectively, and then their nickel(II) and copper(II) complexes were synthesised. The ligands and complexes were characterised by elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibility measurements and ′H nmr, infrared, UV-visible and atomic absorbtion spectroscopy.
