Abstract
A series of 1-substituted-5-trifluoromethyltetrazoles was conveniently prepared from N-substituted trifluoroacetimidoyl chlorides via nucleophilic replacement with azide anion followed by subsequent cyclization in moderate to excellent yield by building block strategy.
